How ModucareVET Works
Plant sterols — specifically beta-sitosterol (BSS) and its glycoside (BSSG) — are naturally occurring fats found in fruits, vegetables, and other plants. Even at very low concentrations, BSS and BSSG have been shown to enhance the activity of immune cells with positive system activity. T-helper cells are among the most important cells in adaptive immunity: they help activate B cells to secrete antibodies, support macrophage activity, and assist cytotoxic T cells in targeting infected cells. ModucareVET improves the ratio of T-helper 1 to T-helper 2 cells, enhancing cellular immunity and helping to down-regulate overactive immune responses. Additionally, ModucareVET helps maintain a normal ratio of the adrenal hormones cortisol and DHEA, buffering the negative effects of stress on the immune system.
