Boswellia serrata is an Ayurvedic natural herb that has a very long history of use for connective tissue and joint help. Boswellic acids, the energetic terpenoid ingredients of boswellia, may preserve healthy 5-lipoxygenase enzyme action and healthful leukotriene metabolic process. In addition, boswellic acids might maintain healthier human leukocyte elastase enzyme activity. A combination of these two actions is believed to be special to boswellia. Boswellia also plays a key role in supporting colon health, as a result of its effect on 5-lipoxygenase.*
