D-Ribose is a dietary supplement produced by Biotics Research that acts as a supplemental source of D-Ribose, an organic five carbon sugar that exists within all living cells. D-Ribose has been proven to support regular function of the cardiovascular system, it is an important component of DNA and RNA, as well as a crucial ingredient in the manufacturing of ATP. In the process of generating ATP, ribose is essential to the de novo pathway, as well as to what is typically known and referred to as the salvage pathway, where ribose is salvaged from ATP metabolites, and then harnessed to produce new ATP molecules. D-Ribose is found in large quantities in organs and tissues that have a high-energy output,such as adrenals, brain, endocrine glands, gastrointestinal tract, heart, muscles, and liver. Dosage:
Biotics Research recommends two (2) teaspoons (approx. 5 g) of D-Ribose mixed with six (6) to eight (8) ounces of water or other beverage, two (2) times daily as a dietary supplement or as otherwise directed by a healthcare professional.
