Choleast-900 is a red yeast rice formula that provides naturally occurring monacolins, phytosterols, and isoflavones that help maintain healthy lipid levels.* Red yeast rice also promotes healthy lipid particle size and number.* Numerous studies conducted in China and the United States support the use of red yeast rice for helping to maintain healthy cholesterol levels.*

Berberine-500 is a constituent of several plants, including Berberis aristata (Indian barberry). INTERACTIONS

Curcumin has been shown to reduce the therapeutic efficacy of cyclophosphamide (Cytoxan) in animal studies. In vitro research revealed that curcumin decreased camptothecin-induced death of cultured breast cancer cells. Curcumin might also interfere with the absorption and efficacy of the chemotherapy drug irinotecan, used to treat colon cancer. The concurrent use of curcumin with these agents should be avoided.
