Liquid Iodine is a dietary supplement from Biotics Research that provides 75 mcg of iodine (as potassium iodide) per drop. Iodine is an important trace mineral, and is crucial for a healthy thyroid function. Approximately eighty percent of dietary intake of iodine is sequestered by the thyroid gland. Although, other tissues target iodine as well, including salivary glands, the choroids plexus, gastric mucosa, the lactating mammary gland and the ovaries.
