Biotics Research's Purified Chondroitin Sulfates is a dietary supplement that provides the body with purified chondroitin sulfate, along with SOD and catalase, two powerful antioxidant enzymes. Chondroitin sulfates (CS) are essential structural components of the tunica intima, giving strength and elasticity to blood vessels. As people age, CS are gradually replaced by other glycoaminoglycans (GAGs) which can affect vascular permeability.
Additionally, CS are necessary for activating lipoprotein lipase on capillary endothelial cells, allowing for proper metabolism of blood lipids. CS also plays an important role in the repair of injured connective tissue. Synthesis of CS must occur before collagen synthesis, and CS is essential for the healing process. Corticosteroid treatment has been shown to decrease CS synthesis and delay healing. Biotics Research recommends one (1) to three (3) Purified Chondroitin Sulfates tablets daily as a dietary supplement or as otherwise directed by a healthcare professional.

Purified Chondroitin Sulfates (as a purified extract of bovine trachea tissue), Superoxide Dismutase (from vegetable culture ), Catalase (from vegetable culture ). Specially grown, biologically active vegetable culture containing naturally associated phytochemicals including polyphenolic compounds with SOD and catalase, dehydrated at low temperature to preserve associated enzyme factors.
Other Ingredients:
Cellulose, stearic acid (vegetable source), modified cellulose gum, magnesium stearate (vegetable source) and food glaze. This Biotics Research product is gluten and dairy free.
